70 Nepalese rescued from Uttarkhand after flood

Many people along with many Nepalese people were stranded who went for the pilgrimage tour in Uttarakhand of India due to flood caused by torrential monsoon rains.
Around 60-70 Nepali pilgrims were airlifted by the Uttarakhand government from Kedarnath area yesterday and were camped in Haridwar. And they are believed to be safe.
The Embassy of Nepal in New Delhi said it had received information that around 350-400 Nepalis were stranded at different locations, including Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gaurikund and Guptakashi, after massive floods and mudslides wreaked havoc, even burying parts of the Kedarnath temple.
The embassy has also reported that some 25 pilgrims, who were trapped in Kedarnath area have managed to reach Rishikesh-Haridwar area today.
Indian government has assured that it will rescue all the Nepalese people trapped in different flood affected areas.
