Kalikot landslide: 2 killed and 1 injured
In the Kalikot landslide, two people were killed and one injured when they were buried by landslide at Serighat in Kalikot district. The landslide was occurred by cloudburst on Wednesday.
As the landslide was occured while they were sleeping in a hotel of Bhakta Bahadur Shah at Serighat. They were on their way home after visiting Kedarnath in India in search of four relatives who went missing in the recent devastating flood and landslips in Uttaranchal state, India.
The deceased are 45-year-old Jagate BK and 47-year-old Daljit BK of Ranchuli VDC-3 while, Buche BK of the same VDC has sustained injuries in the incident.
Buche has lost his right leg to the landslide. Body of one of the victims is still lying under the rubble, said an eyewitness.
Although the district authorities have been informed of the incident, no help has arrived yet.
