New TV show called Buddha on Zee TV
India’s most popular TV channel, Zee TV is telecasting a show called “Buddha”. The first shot of the mythological show was taken on the occasion of Buddha Purnima at the Film City in Mumbai. Buddha is based on the life of Prince Siddhartha and his transition from being a prince to Buddha.
Calling Buddha a personal commitment to himself, BK Modi, Global Chairman, Spice Global, said “Buddha is perhaps the most important personality to have been born in the recorded history of India and we are sparing no effort in making this special.
The first shot of the serial was delivered by actors like Kabir Bedi and Sameer Dharmadhikari, who play important roles in the serial.
The show has targeted to attract the youth from the miserable circumstances and to show the right path. As in this modern era where crime is on the hike along with price hike. Youth certainly need some proper guidance and some diciplines. I really hope this show would make some difference in the soceity.
However, its good to hear any such programs which will enlighten the society. But again the controversy has ignite along with the show. As the producers pinched the show by sharing as the history of India. Here, people shouldn’t get confused as the most important part of Buddha’s life had occured in India. Probably, Prince Siddhartha was born in Nepal but achieved Bhodisattva and Nirvana in India. This might be the reason why the Zee TV wants to telecast a show on Buddha.
