With this feature, users can watch videos without an Internet connection.
How does it work?
First, you need to download the video you want to watch offline. But keep in mind that not all videos on YouTube are available for offline viewing. When you tap on the download button ( ) of your chosen video, you will be given an option to choose the quality of the video to be downloaded. Available resolutions are 720P and 360P.
As download is completed, it is saved under Offline category, which is the only category available to view when your phone isn’t connected to any network. You can click on any video saved in the Offline category and it will play.
The downloaded videos will be deleted on their own if you don’t connect to the Internet in 48 hours.
When you try to send this video via Bluetooth, only the web link will be send.
Importantly, don’t forget to update your YouTube app for the offline feature to work.
